This case is fully solvable from the file alone. Reveal one clue at a time — stop the moment you're back on the trail.
1Who committed the murder?
▸Clue 1
Look closely at Priya Sharma's situation. She claims she fainted after drinking water at the farmhouse — but the autopsy shows sedatives were involved. Being unconscious is not the same as being innocent, and it is not the same as being the only one there.
▸Clue 2
Several people mention Arjun Rathore, the elder son who died thirteen years ago in a construction-site accident at the age of twenty-five. On the morning he died he was about to introduce his mother to a fiancée she had never met.
▸Clue 3
Shreya says she knew Arjun from school, where he was a senior and a "close friend." Compare their ages: Shreya was born in 1991, Arjun in 1986. Their school years overlapped — and so, it seems, did more than that.
▸Clue 4
Read Rajveer's message to Shreya again:
Do you think Vikram would still be with you if he knew who you really are?He is not disapproving of her. He is threatening her with something specific.
▸Clue 5
Rajveer's final message:
My conscience is clear. This was my final warning.Sent hours before he died. Ask yourself who received it, and what they stood to lose.
2What was the motive?
▸Clue 1
Rajveer was blackmailing someone over a secret they had hidden from Vikram. Find the person with the most to lose if that secret came out.
▸Clue 2
Arjun's secret fiancée was pregnant when he died in 2011, at the age of twenty-five.
▸Clue 3
On October 17, Dr. Sharma sent Rajveer a file named
S.Malhotra_2011_Miscarriage_Report.pdf— and Rajveer paid ₹2,50,000 that same day. Read the file name carefully.
▸Clue 4
Shreya Malhotra was twenty years old in 2011 — the same year as Arjun's death and the miscarriage report.
▸Clue 5
Sunita confirms Rajveer had met Arjun's fiancée before his death, though she herself never did. That is why Rajveer recognised Shreya — and why he singled her out.
3How was the murder carried out?
▸Clue 1
The autopsy found sedative medication in Rajveer's system, and Priya says she drank water from his desk just before she fainted. Same glass, same source — two people, one drink.
▸Clue 2
Priya mentioned drinking water from Rajveer's desk before she fainted. That water was drugged.
▸Clue 3
Rajveer was shot with his own .32 revolver, and there was no forced entry. The killer knew the house and knew where he kept the gun.
▸Clue 4
Rajveer invited Priya to the farmhouse at 12:29 PM. Minutes later, Shreya and Sanjay were on the phone twice — she called him at 12:35 PM, and he called her back at 1:15 PM. Someone found out Priya was coming.
▸Clue 5
Shreya left the house when Sunita called at 5:01 PM, and has no verified whereabouts between her 6:12 PM stop and her 10:21 PM stop — a four-hour gap that covers the murder window. Khan Chacha's sits on a route back from Chattarpur.
▸Clue 6
The murder happened between 8:30 PM and 9:30 PM. Place each suspect in that window — only one of them cannot be accounted for.
4Did the killer have any help?
▸Clue 1
Sanjay paid Priya for information about Rajveer — but paying for information is not the same as helping with a murder.
▸Clue 2
Sanjay's own record places him far from Chattarpur across the murder window. His alibi holds.
▸Clue 3
The killer acted alone. The motive was deeply personal, the access was personal, and the secret was so dangerous it could not be shared with anyone — not even family. No accomplice was needed.
