Who Committed the Murder?

THE KILLER: SHREYA MALHOTRA Interior Designer / Vikram's Girlfriend

HOW TO SOLVE:

1. The Miscarriage Report: On October 17, Dr. Sharma sent Rajveer a file named "S.Malhotra_2011_Miscarriage_Report.pdf" and Rajveer paid him ₹2,50,000. But Priya didn't tell Rajveer about her pregnancy until October 19. The "S. Malhotra" in the 2011 report is Shreya — this was her miscarriage from 13 years ago after Arjun's death.
2. The WhatsApp Blackmail: Rajveer's messages to Shreya on October 19 reveal he was blackmailing her: "Do you think Vikram would still be with you if he knew who you really are?" and "You know very well what would make him walk away from you."
3. The Final Warning: Rajveer's last message to Shreya: "My conscience is clear. This was my final warning" — sent at 12:34 PM on the day of the murder. He gave her an ultimatum, and she responded with murder.

What Was the Motive for the Murder?

THE FULL STORY:

2011 — The Secret Engagement: Shreya Malhotra (age 20) was secretly engaged to Arjun Rathore (age 25), Vikram's older brother. They had known each other since school — Arjun was a senior, Shreya was younger. She was pregnant with his child.

2011 — Arjun's Death: Arjun called his mother that morning to say he wanted to introduce her to his fiancée. That same afternoon, Arjun fell from the 12th floor of a Rathore Realty construction site. It was ruled an "accident." Rajveer had already met Shreya — Sunita confirms he met Arjun's girlfriend, something she never did.

How Was the Murder Carried Out?

TIMELINE OF THE MURDER:

10:03 AM: Rajveer sends threatening WhatsApp messages to Shreya about revealing her identity.

12:29 PM: Rajveer texts Priya ("Lovee") to come to his farmhouse at 6:30 PM that evening.

12:34 PM: Rajveer sends his final warning to Shreya: "My conscience is clear. This was my final warning."

12:35 PM & 1:15 PM: Shreya has phone calls with her father Sanjay (12 min and 10 min). Through Sanjay's network of information about Rajveer, Shreya learns Priya will be at the farmhouse.

5:01 PM: Sunita calls Vikram to say Rajveer wants to meet them. Shreya decides to "give them privacy" and leaves — the perfect cover.

6:12 PM: Shreya's bank statement shows she was at Ambience Mall. She's establishing movement away from the apartment.

~6:00-6:30 PM: Shreya arrives at the Chattarpur farmhouse BEFORE Priya. She knows Rajveer is expecting Priya and prepares the trap.

WHY NO ACCOMPLICE:

Sanjay Malhotra: While he was paying Priya for information about Rajveer, he had no knowledge of or involvement in the murder. His alibi checks out: FitLife Cafe at 9:42 PM and ITC Maurya at 10:02 PM — he was nowhere near Chattarpur during the murder window. The information exchange was purely business espionage against his rival.

Why Shreya Acted Alone: The murder was deeply personal. Shreya's secret — that she was Arjun's pregnant fiancée in 2011 — was known only to her and Rajveer. Involving anyone else would risk exposing the very secret she was killing to protect. She couldn't even tell her own father.

Her Advantages: Shreya had intimate knowledge of the Rathore family from her 13-year connection (first through Arjun, then Vikram). She had access to the farmhouse through her relationship with Vikram, knowledge of Rajveer's gun collection, and the ability to move freely without suspicion. She didn't need help.
